What to do with all those Tshirts that are taking up room in your dresser drawers and closets? Some are old, some haven’t been worn in years and some just don’t fit anymore. But they hold special memories for you and you just can’t bear to part with them. Here’s an idea - make a Tshirt quilt!
Join Sue in making a special memory quilt using Tshirts. In this class, we won’t do much sewing. We’ll concentrate on measuring and prepping the Tshirts and designing your quilt. This is not a one-size-fits-all Tshirt quilt class. Everyone’s quilt will be different - different number of Tshirts used, different logo sizes, and different sashing designs. Yes, there’s some math involved, but you’ll end up with your own very unique quilt design.
This is a 2-session class. In the first 4-hour session, we will be measuring your T-shirts and starting to prep them with interfacing. Sue will discuss different ways to put the quilt together and fabric requirements, and you’ll start designing your quilt.
In the 2nd session, you’ll continue the design process and draw your quilt design out on graph paper. Time-permitting, you’ll start sewing everything together.
Shhh - don’t tell anyone – once your family and friends learn that you know how to make a Tshirt quilt, they’ll all want one!
