Star Sampler Quilt Block of the Month
PQW is excited to provide the Star Sampler Block of the Month program. The Star Sampler Quilt was beautifully designed by Liza Prior Lucy and features the Kaffe Fassett x The Original Morris & Co. fabric collection. These stunning fabrics and block designs come together in a quilt that finishes at 89 1/2inches x 89 1/2 inches. The techniques required include piecing, fussy cutting and y-seams which will be covered in videos created by PQW and sent to program participants. An Intermediate skill level is suggested, but this could also be an opportunity to level up and try out some new techniques.
We have priced this program such that Months 1-3 are $75 each and Months 4-7 are $50 each. Participants will be charged each month and notified when their fabric is available for pick up. The price of the program includes all the fabric required for the blocks and the binding. Backing fabric is not included. You will need to purchase 8 1/4 yards of 44" fabric or 3 yards of 108" wide fabric for the back.
BONUS - Once the Star Sampler Quilt is complete, you will have enough “quilter’s lace” left over to make the Broken Lace and Old Dishes Quilt (finishes at 75 inches x 85 inches). This quilt will require an additional 3 yards of fabric for the background and binding and 7 3/4 yards for the backing. PQW will stock the suggested background and binding fabrics for this bonus quilt.
Suggested Supplies - Template plastic is recommended for creating reusable templates for fussy cutting. PQW carries 12 inch x 18 inch template plastic sheets which are ideal for this project.
